RankAgent is an SEO agency in your pocket. It audits a website, tells you in plain English what's costing customers, writes the fixes, prices the opportunity in real money, and produces the white-label report your client pays for. This guide gets you from sign-up to your first client deliverable.

The 60-second version

1. Sign up free — every new account starts a 14-day free trial of the full Growth feature set: white-label reports, branded PDF, AI-guided client onboarding, GEO / AI-visibility, live keyword and backlink data. One client site, no card.
2. Add your first client — the guided first-run flow asks for the client's name and website; the full audit starts on its own the moment you add it.
3. Onboard the client — a 9-step Client Onboarding builds the engagement: business profile, competitors, access, locked keywords, site strategy, a priced proposal, page mapping, then approval and kickoff. Pick AI Guided Discovery and a research run pre-fills steps 1–7 for you to review (takes 6–12 minutes). See client onboarding.
4. Work the plan — after kickoff the workspace opens: the Action Center is your prioritized to-do list, every issue has an AI-written "Fix This", and Share with client gives them one branded link (or PDF) that always shows live progress.

The trial, plainly

The trial runs the Growth feature set on one client site for 14 days, with a small live-data allowance for keyword volumes, rank checks and backlink pulls. No card is taken. When it ends you drop to the Free plan and keep everything you built — the audit, the strategy, the report — and can upgrade whenever you're ready. There is no separate "trial mode": what you see is exactly what Growth customers get.

Adding and onboarding a client

From the dashboard, Add a client with their homepage URL. RankAgent immediately starts a full-site crawl — following internal links, respecting robots.txt, up to your plan's page limit (5 pages on Free, 200 on Starter, 300 on Growth, 500 on Agency).

While the crawl runs, the Client Onboarding wizard opens. Two ways through it:

• AI Guided Discovery — you pick the client's market (country/city), then six specialist agents research the business, competitors, keywords, technical state and content gaps, and draft steps 1–7 for you. Every draft is labelled with its source and confidence; nothing is locked without you.
• Manual — fill each step yourself; "Read the site" pre-fills the business profile from their homepage.

The one moment that deserves care is step 4, Keyword Research: one recommended list (with real search volume and a difficulty meter per keyword) that you pick from, agree with the client, and then lock — the site strategy, page mapping and the proposal your client signs are all built from that set.

The workspace, once you're in

After kickoff the client's workspace opens, organised down the sidebar:

• Dashboard — the executive overview: mission, estimated business impact in money, today's top priorities.
• Action Center — the prioritized to-do list. Every task carries its why, impact, effort and confidence.
• Discover — Audit (the read-only health report), Search Console, Analytics and Integrations.
• Strategy — Keywords, Competitors, Website Strategy and Mapping.
• Execute — Technical SEO (the fix workspace), Content, Local SEO, AI Visibility, Backlinks and Publish.
• Monitor & Reports — rank tracking, alerts, the proof-of-work History, and client reports.

The first time you open a workspace, a short three-stop tour points out the Action Center, the business-impact numbers, and the Share-with-client button — the money path.

What each plan unlocks

The free scorecard and a 5-page audit are open to everyone. Starter (one site) adds full crawls, AI fixes, monitoring, chat and real keyword/competitor/backlink data.
