Free tool — no signup
Free SEO audit of any page.
Enter a URL and get a 0–100 score, a letter grade, and a plain-English list of what is costing you search traffic — meta tags, headings, speed signals, mobile, security, content, schema and whether AI crawlers can read the page at all. Your result is a public page you can share with a client.
What you get, and what it costs
An SEO audit is an inspection of what a search engine sees when it loads your page: the tags that describe it, the structure that organises it, the weight that slows it down, and the rules that decide whether a crawler is allowed in. This one runs 36 of those checks on the URL you enter and scores the result out of 100.
Free and public: the score, the grade, the AI-written summary, and the six category scores. That page lives at a permanent shareable link and needs no account. Behind an email: the full issue list with a specific fix written for each one. Behind a plan or the 14-day trial: crawling every page of a site rather than one, re-checking it on a schedule, and turning the result into a branded client report.
The free tool audits a single page. If you have seen a “free full-site audit” elsewhere on this site, that phrasing was wrong and we have corrected it — a whole-site crawl costs us money per page, so it sits inside the trial rather than in the open tool.
What gets checked
36 checks, six weighted categories
These are the same checks the paid crawler runs on every page of a client site — the free tool just runs them once.
Meta tags
20%Title tag length, meta description, Open Graph tags for link previews, and the canonical tag that tells Google which URL is the real one.
Headings
15%Whether the page has exactly one H1, whether that H1 reads like a headline rather than a fragment, and whether the heading levels skip a rung.
Speed signals
25%Server response time, HTML weight, image count and render-blocking scripts in the head. These are source-level signals — they are not a Lighthouse or field Core Web Vitals score.
Mobile
15%The viewport meta tag, and fixed-width elements wide enough to force a horizontal scroll on a phone.
Security
10%HTTPS, and mixed content — http resources loaded on an https page, which browsers block or flag.
Content & AI visibility
15%Word count, alt text coverage, internal links, robots.txt, structured data, llms.txt and whether the AI crawlers (GPTBot, PerplexityBot, ClaudeBot, Google-Extended) are allowed to read the page at all.
Those percentages are our audit methodology — how we weight the categories when producing a single number. They are not measured Google ranking weights, and no tool can honestly claim to know those.
Straight answers
What this audit cannot tell you
Every checker has a boundary. Here is ours, so you know when to reach for something else.
- It reads the served HTML. Content that only appears after JavaScript runs is not counted — which is also roughly what a crawler sees on its first pass.
- The speed checks are source-level proxies: response time, HTML weight, image count, blocking scripts. They are not Lighthouse, and they are not field Core Web Vitals from real visitors.
- It does not check backlinks, keyword rankings or search volume. Those need third-party data, and they live in the paid product rather than the free tool.
- A high score does not mean you rank. It means the page has no obvious mechanical problems — which is the floor, not the ceiling.
